God's Eye View (GEV)

God's Eye View is a development-stage geospatial information project exploring how properly attributed information can help users understand global events, humanitarian conditions, and other topics.

Development emphasizes identifiable original publishers, traceable evidence, geographic accuracy, distinctions between reported and verified events, and truthful treatment of missing or unavailable data.

Humanitarian data evaluation

GEV is evaluating read-only access to ReliefWeb's published humanitarian report index and OCHA HDX HAPI indicators. A published report is not by itself a verified incident, and administrative indicators are not precise occurrence locations. Access, attribution and any reuse of original material remain subject to provider and publisher permissions.
